Thanks for the Fake Memories...

I have an assignment for all of the creative feline (and some-not-so-feline) bloggers out there. This can be a fun project, if we all put our thinking caps on (I think mine is stuck under the couch with ¾ of my toy mice).

In the comments section of this post, I am asking ALL OF YOU (yes even you, the casual passerby) to share a COMPLETELY FAKE AND MADE-UP MEMORY of you and I. It can be short or long...just be creative! Search your mind for all of the fake memories you and I have shared throughout the years. You know they number in the thousands...

I will comment on each fake memory shared. I encourage you to start the same project on your blog! It will be fun walking down Fake Memory Lane with you! I will be checking your blogs and will be sure to share many of my own fake memories of fun times we've shared.

Are you game?

Hello Complete Stranger to Me,
Have you seen "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"? I sense that we had a long and very complicated relationship involving lots of drama, whiskey sours, and dirty litter boxes, but beyond these vague images, I cannot advance. I visited the good doctor at Lacuna Inc. and had my memories of you erased. Sorry sweetheart/best female friend/bitter enemy/personal stylist?

We've had some fantastic times, haven't we? I remember the first time I saw you, at that mixer party Tux was throwing. You were spectacular in your diamond collar and tiara. How your eyes sparkled with laughter when we played those games. Remember when you got the mouse stuck under a bookcase and I helped get it out for you? I think that's when we were formally introduced.

I admit, I had a bit of a crush on you back then. But you said that because you were of royal blood, it could never be. I was crushed at the time, but I realized it was for the best.

Miss Kitty, it makes me so sad that you have no more memories of our friendship. I will say, though, that it stings a bit less when I get the residual checks from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Who knew they would want to make our story into a film?

I remember when you were the lap kitty to the Emperor. Your empire was just down the block from mine, right Gigolo Kitty?

I STILL worship your every paw print, Emperor Derby. Perhaps, with your royal title, we were meant to be betrothed in our old lives.

Now we just nap, eat, nap, poop, and nap!

Tiger, I will never forget the first time I laid eyes on you. You were dashing, standing proudly at the threshold of Tux's party. As you scanned the room, our eyes met and I was smitten.

Ah, the mouse under the bookcase! I will never forget how we laughed as we swatted at that frightened, little creature.

I have to admit, Tiger, that if you had any royal blood in you, I would have eloped with you that very night (after all, I was dressed to the nines already).

Are you sure you've searched your entire bloodline and have found no royal ties?

Woe is me...I have loved and lost...

Can you see the latest posting now?

I was a shy, middle-aged bachelor. You were the new kitten on the block. Your eyes glittered in the moonlight. I will never forget that night.

Do you remember the time you found a stranger had pooped in your solid gold and diamond encrusted litter box and the palace went into lock-down and the royal guard searched high and low for the intruder but never did find the culprit?

That was the most luxurious crap I ever took ;->

Kukka-Maria said...

Aloysius...The way your long, flowing hair looked that night is burned into a special place in my memory. I think I still have a secret crush on you!

Ah, pleadingthe5th! So we "meet" again! We've been looking for you to get a DNA sample from you for what seems like a lifetime! You are lucky I don't have the royal guard at my disposal anymore (now that I'm exiled).

I still have the diamond encrusted litter box, though...

Yeah, there was that time we got hopped up on 'nip and tied that beagle to the bumper of a volkswagon. The best part was watching the car drag him down a city block before noticing that "bump-bump-bump" noise coming from the back....

Where'd you get all that string from anyhow?

Kukka-Maria said...

Moses...I wove that string from all of the hair I had shed in my life to that point (which was a lot because it made a huge and sturdy rope!).

What's even funnier about this fake memory is that my mom drives a VW and her friend has a Beagle.

What are you doing this weekend? ;)

Seeing how much torque it takes to knock over our indoor tree. Wanna help?

A secret crush? I am falling over now.
