And the skies went "BOOM!"

Lightning lacerated the sky and thunder made the trees (and us) quiver. Last night was a rough night!

The air was thick with thunderstorm warnings and tornado watches. This morning, when we awoke from our troubled sleep, we found a lake where our yard used to be (ok, maybe not a "lake," but if I had said "larger puddles than normal," would you have been as impressed?).

We spent most of the night cuddled against Mom or pawing at her head and whining to make sure she was surviving the storm (more the latter, than the former).

Brach and I are hiding under the bed today until we're sure this whole thing has passed. And, for the record, Brach was much more scared than I was! Make a note of that...

Wait! I'm a celebrity! Can't I hire people to be scared for me?

"MOM! Look into it!"

We hides when we get those nasty storms, too, either in the basement or under the bed. The worst time though was when there was bangin' over our heads all day for two whole days. Mom said it was 'cause we needed a new roof, but we thought the old one was just fine!

Mittens is the bigget baby. She hides for every reason under the sun. She specially hides when the snow slides off the roof, they blast up on the ski hill for avalanches, and we get the thunders in the summer. She hides when we get company, she hides if the doorbell rings.....boy, what a baby!!

Boomers? What is them? We haven't heard any of them since we been to our new house. Mom doesn't know how we react yet. Hope you're not scared anymore.

Yes we hadded tunderstorms last night too. One boom was so close and loud mum and I both jumped. We have a very large puddle/mini lake near by. Far enough away so it won't come into the dungeon.

We do NOT like thunderstorms. Were you near any of those tornadoes?? Scary, scary, scary. Mom doesn't like them either. She is pretty brave most of the time, but lightening and thunder make her get all the way under the covers.

Brach, you look like you're on high alert, bro!

Maybe you could hire Brach to look scared for you? No?

We had loud bangs with bright flashes, but I'm not afraid. Not even when one bang made the whole house shake and a 'larm went off outside. The cat who came before me spent t-storms in the closet and even cowered from the big noisy flying machines. Victor wasn't afraid either. He's got a backbone.

I am not scared of thunderstorms. I just get cross when it keeps raining outside when I want to go and meditate by my pond. I am not bothered by fireworks either, I mostly just sleep through them.

I am Gatito ... "Gat-man" as the Hag would call me.

I feel you on this, though truth be told, my adopted brother Kiko seems to have a tougher time of it than I (but of course). Upon the first clap of thunder, he races to the nearest closet and remains there for about a week. Me? I just place my paws over my ears and curl up next to Hag. She seems to know her stuff about these sounds ... they don't faze her very much.

On March 13, had eight inches of snow here where I live, and many humans randomly ran into others in their cars. This morning when I was trying to look out of the window, a big machine came and scared me away from the window.

Vacoom cleaners scare me too. Only my sister Cloey likes playing with them. I think she's mad. Just wait till she gets sucked into one of them. Then let's see who's the brave one.
